How to Decide
NBA Live 2000 is known for its classic NBA action featuring Legend All-Stars and realistic simulation, and it’s used by NBA fans and sports simulation enthusiasts. The alternatives split into a few clear camps: NBA Live 2004 leans on its high critic score and contemporary graphics; NBA Live 2005 adds online leaderboards for global ranking; NBA Live 2003 provides online matchmaking on PC; NBA 2K2 stands out with wide platform availability across four consoles; NBA Live 99 is chosen for its deep franchise mode with trades, drafts, and free agency.
When comparing these titles, the key factors that actually shift the decision are: graphics fidelity and how up‑to‑date the visual presentation is for its era; the presence and scope of online features such as leaderboards or matchmaking; the number of platforms the game runs on, which affects accessibility; and the depth of franchise‑type management tools like trades, drafts, and free‑agency control. Each alternative varies on at least one of these dimensions, making them the practical criteria to weigh against NBA Live 2000’s strengths.
